How durable is CENTAURI's packaging? What are the certified protection limits?

Modified on Thu, 14 Oct 2021 at 04:58 PM

We implement a number of measures to ensure that CENTAURI devices reach our customers in good shape, without damage, and ready to deploy.

We ship devices on pallets and use special packaging that can absorb a certain amount of shock. We also apply shock stickers on the outside of the packages to provide a visual alert if the devices may have experienced an adverse shock event in transit.

The CENTAURI Packaging Box Protection Limit is tested as -72cm. This means that the packaging is certified to withstand drops from heights up to 72cm without affecting the calibration of the device.

Any drop from a height or distance of greater than 72cm, or other impacts which carry more force than the equivalent of a drop from a height of 72cm, will most likely harm the device calibration.

At that point, a full diagnostic check will be needed and we recommend going through recertification before deployment can proceed.

HINT: The height of our packaging box is 30cm. As a result we strongly suggest that you do not stack CENTAURI devices to more than 3 units high.

Lastly, if your CENTAURI device arrives on-site, or you notice that the shock sticker on the outside of the box moves from clear to RED at any time after it arrives, you should CONTACT US as soon as possible, so we can assist in checking whether the device needs recalibration or, in the worst case, a replacement device is needed.
